Oelamasi, Cakrawala NTT
In order to welcome national education day (Hari
Pendidikan Nasional/Hardiknas) and also to improve students’ creativity, Media
Pendidikan Cakrawala NTT (MPC NTT) in cooperating with PPO Department of Kupang
Regency held a teenager scientific week. The teenager scientific week started
from April 29, 2016 and finished on April 30, 2016. On the opening ceremony of that
moment, there where Regional Secretary of Kupang Regency, Drs. Henrik Paut,
M.Pd; the secretary of PPO Department of Kupang Regency, Eliazer Teuf, S.Pd,
M.Pd; and the general manager of MPC NTT, Agustinus Rikarno, S.Fil.
Besides that, there were also the head master of SMAN 1 Kupang Barat, Hendrikus Buan, S.Pd; the head master of SMAN 1 Kupang Timur, Andreas Poeting, S.Pd; the head master of SMAN 3 Kupang Timur, Philipus Nahak Klau, S.Pd, and also the head master SMAN 1 Fatuleu of Drs. Ambrosius Pan. Some teachers who have guided the students also came to support their students.
The chairman of teenager scientific week committee, Yupiter Lonati on his report explained that the teenager scientific week was a program of MPC NTT in its cooperation with PPO Department of Kupang Regency. He added that in that teenager scientific week, there were teenager scientific paper competition, English speech competition and short story competition. “There are 6 schools in Kupang Regency who participated in those competitions, so there are 28 participants who will fight to be the winner,” said Loinati. Loinati also explained that MPC NTT would give a big cup as a rotating trophy for the participant schools who become the winner.
On his speech Gusti Rikarno said that MPC NTT always do the best in order to improve students’ creativity, especially in literacy field. He hoped that this event motivates the students to be creative and also to love literacy.
Appreciation for MPC NTT and also PPO Department of
Kupang Regency came from Henrik Paut. On his speech Henrik Paut explained that
to be a future leader, the students must work hard and also must pass the
education process well. “In education process, students must be clever,
creative and also godly. Remember that money cannot buy the success, but a good
process can bring you to the success,” said Henrik Paut. Before he opened the
event, he hoped that this competition sustainably done, so the students always
motivated to be better.
All the participants attended the teenager scientific
paper competition, English speech competition and short story competition enthusiastically.
They do their best in that competition. At the end of the ceremony, the
students and the teachers were motivated by Eliazer Teuf to be creative and
also to improve literacy in their school. Eliazer Teuf also gave diary book
prepared by MPC NTT for the participants, so they can improve their writing
skill. The winner on that competition will be announced on April 30, 2016 in Radio
Suara Kabupaten Kupang and the gift will be given on May 02, 2016. (JKo)
